How thankful we are to be able to tell y'all we moved in our new home June 2nd!!!! It is so wonderful to be in a house again, & even more wonderful to be in one that is our very own that was built & made possible with the help of so many! Thank you all for the prayer, love, encouraging words & support that you showered upon us this past year!

We're still setting up furniture & unpacking so here are a few pics taken before the boxes came in!

Decided on a tile counter top. Since this pic, we've put up some shelves to the right & left of the sink.

Awesome door after applying tung oil- (from The Real Milk Paint Co.) Now isn't that amazingly awesome?!

This is the second coat. The first we made with fresh milk this we made using powered milk.

Very pleased with the homemade milk paint! We hope to write more about it soon! The floor finish (Rubio Monocoat) looks great although we didn't realize it was a matte finish! As long as it cleans well- we'll let y'all know!

Potatoes are making! Last night we robbed a few for dinner!

Check out The Real Milk Paint Co.  we love their awesome products!
While it wasn't easy dividing our time between the house & the garden, we are so happy we did! It's such a blessing to be able to pick fresh veggies for a meal or greens for juicing right out the door! Hope y'all are enjoying this abundant season!
With thankful hearts,
 The West Ladies

Congratulations West Ladies! You have a lovely new home. It looks so welcoming. I like the Milk Painted walls. You have inspired me. Now I am going to try Milk Paint. Oh the wood door, it looks like the doors we had in the Victorian House I grew up in. I love it Vicki! It is wonderful to have a home that is filled with love, joy and peace. God is so good!

Bless your new home! Do your potato plants have blossoms? Was wondering because mine are starting to and wondered if there are potatoes under them like yours. Also...thank you for the sewing video with the ruffled skirt instructions. I've made two and have started another for my granddaughters. ;-)

Thank You Karen!
Our potatoes haven't really bloomed yet but we still get a few "new" potatoes for a meal. Some folks call it robbing the potatoes cause you just dig a few small ones under your plant leaving the potato plant growing and happy!
That's really wonderful about you sewing the ruffled skirts for your granddaughters! So glad our sewing video helped!
Bless You!

Thank you ever so much for posting an update! I have been thinking of y'all! Perhaps you could do a youtube with a walk through as to the reclaimed material and how you made it look so lovely. Great job! Do you have electricity?

Hello Julie!
Good to hear from you! Great idea about the YouTube! We are still moving things around -and putting shelves up -getting organized etc.! Hope to do a "walk through" soon! We have no electricity coming to our home from the power company- we do many things by hand. We cook on a wood cook stove (summertime on our porch winter inside wood cook stove-heats the home too!)
We do use a generator, when we need, for juicing and charging things
Many Blessings
Vicki.
